Every block in LinkShop has its own Styling section where you can override the global branding and layout settings. This lets you make individual blocks look different from the rest of your page — like giving one product block a different background color or removing the border from a specific link block.
How It Works
Your LinkShop has global branding and layout settings that apply to all blocks by default. These are set in the Branding and Layout tabs of the editor. When you change a styling value on an individual block, that block uses your custom value instead of the global setting. Blocks without any overrides continue to follow the global settings.
How to Style a Block
Open your LinkShop in the Shopify admin
Click on the block you want to customize
Scroll down to the Styling section and click it to expand
Adjust any of the color or layout settings
Click Save
The styling section is available on every block type — Header, Link, Product, Product Grid, Product Slider, Text, Media, Group, and all integration blocks.
Color Settings
You can override 11 color settings on each block:
Headline — The color of the block's heading text
Icon — The color of any icons in the block
Block Background — The background color of the block card
Block Text — The color of body text in the block
Border — The color of the block's border
Button Background — The background color of buttons in the block
Button Border — The border color of buttons
Button Text — The text color of buttons
Shadow Color — The color of the block's shadow (if shadows are enabled)
Tag Background — The background color of product tags
Tag Text — The text color of product tags
Layout Settings
You can also override 3 layout settings on each block:
Border Radius — How rounded the block's corners are, in pixels. The default is 14px. Set to 0 for sharp corners
Show Border — Toggle the block's border on or off. On by default
Shadow — Toggle a shadow behind the block on or off. Off by default
Resetting to Global Defaults
If you've customized a block's styling and want to go back to the global settings, open the Styling section and click Reset to Global Defaults. This button only appears when the block has active overrides. It removes all per-block styling and the block goes back to matching the rest of your page.
Tips
Use per-block styling sparingly — a consistent look usually works best. But it's great for highlighting a featured product or a seasonal promotion
If you want to change the look of all your blocks at once, use the global Branding and Layout settings instead
The Shadow Color setting only has a visible effect when the Shadow toggle is turned on
Tag colors only appear on blocks that support tags, like Product and Product Grid blocks
